Writing as Unknotting
Observation · writing · personal_truth · visibility: publishable
‘It goes from constructing an argument from scratch to deconstructing this knot my brain has been picking at.’ Writing had been framed as construction: start from nothing, build toward a point. The actual process is the inverse — there’s already a dense, tangled cluster of ideas, and writing is the act of pulling one thread and following it out. The knot was there first. The page doesn’t need filling; it needs the knot undone. This reframe also explains why blank-doc anxiety hits so hard: the problem was never having nothing to say.
