Direction Inversion: Writing

Observation · writing · personal_truth · visibility: publishable

Editing brain thoughts down to paper thoughts is a categorically different cognitive task than building paper thoughts up toward brain thoughts. The blank page fails because it requires construction toward an imagined target. The actual task — given that the thought already exists as a gestalt — is subtraction and translation, not construction. Deconstruct the knot; don’t build from atoms. Not ‘what do I add to this blank document?’ but ‘what do I need to remove or reframe from my existing thoughts to make them coherent when written down?’ The direction inversion is not a reframe — it uses different cognitive machinery entirely.
