Hostile Web Baseline

Observation · culture · confident · visibility: publishable

‘I am actually baffled by how hostile we have made society to literal human beings.’ The specific complaint: trying to find a simple website builder. The results: convoluted sponsored garbage. The alternatives: listicles behind paywalls that open the app. Reddit threads that force you into the app. Social media that’s ‘straight up hostile to society.’ The punchline: the only non-hostile surface left is an AI she’s been trained to use as a thinking partner, which is itself evidence of the failure. Not a media-criticism hot take — a Tuesday afternoon experience. The baseline has degraded to the point where the exception (this conversation) is the rule (where she does her thinking). See C.dead-internet-positioning for the strategic response; this is the visceral observation underneath it.
