Welded to One Shape (the Second Weld)

The datum welds the space to its content (Earth). There is a second, separate weld: geography is
welded to a single mandatory shape. Earth’s surface is S² — a closed, compact manifold: no edge, no
outside, it wraps, it must meet itself, and every point has exactly one antipode (the project named
itself after the artifact of the closure). You cannot flatten it without lying — Gauss’s Theorema
Egregium: curvature is intrinsic, the surface ‘remembers’ it is curved, so every projection distorts.
Her image: a sealed snow globe — finite, full, fixed — versus the Matrix white room, open
space you furnish as you go. Latent space is the white room: open, unbounded by default, and — the key
— its geometry is chosen, not imposed (flat R^n if relations are flat, a hypersphere for normalized
embeddings, a hyperbolic Poincaré ball for tree-like hierarchies). Geography is stuck in S² no matter
what the data wants, because it is pinned to an actual ball of rock. So the difference was never
open-vs-closed; it is chosen-vs-imposed geometry. The closure is what forces two of the three lies
(fullness → C.no-such-thing-as-null; exclusivity → P.sliver-is-a-fact); the datum forces the
third (position). Both dissolve the moment the geometry is allowed to fit the relations.
