The Truth Nuke
Observation · comedy · personal_truth · visibility: publishable
The flip side of court-jester comedy, which whammied her. She’d always assumed couching truth in humor made people take her less seriously; she never considered ‘that they might take me ENTIRELY seriously and question why I felt the need to couch truth in humor.’ The joke isn’t camouflage that fails — it’s camouflage whose very presence is a tell. ‘That one actually whammied me… that’s just a truth nuke.’ If performed humor is the armor, the armor itself is legible to anyone watching for it.
