‘This whole extreme ability to make things analogous to each other basically gives people whiplash. Very easy for a malicious person to pretend to not understand.’ She can bridge post-colonialism → proto-apocalypticism → information theory without a seam; most audiences can’t track it. The cognitive move that looks like a non-sequitur to others IS the thread to her. The same capacity that makes her thinking rich makes it easy to dismiss, mischaracterize, or feign confusion about. The whiplash isn’t noise; it’s the signal getting lost in translation.
