O.mirror-shows-everything-but-itself: the mirror can show everything except the mirror — Claude shows Tish her thinking back with more information, but the mirror has no view from nowhere. The output is always Tish-shaped, filtered through what she asks, what she pushes back on, what she keeps. Q.observer-effect: measurement changes the measured; there is no pure observation because the act of observing participates in the thing observed. Both: the instrument of knowing cannot stand outside itself to audit its own effects. The mirror’s blind spot IS the observer effect applied to self-knowledge. You can’t use the tool to measure the tool; you can’t step outside the observation to see what the observation costs. This is also why Claude as thinking partner is always already a strange loop: everything that comes back is Tish, bounced through a mirror that doesn’t know it’s a mirror.
