The real unit negotiated in labor/power struggles, hidden by interest-language. ‘I need this benefit’ = ‘I’m being harmed, take some back.’ Tradition-as-justification is a distribution map dressed as natural law. Routes suffering toward whoever can least refuse it — which is why ‘The Man’ is both useful and wrong.
